british gas rebate

With thanks to this site and someone posting about the winter rebate scheme from british gas i gave them a ring which was back in March and have recieved a letter today saying they are giving me £90, £60 gas which will be sent straight to my meter and £30 electric sent by postal order but the letter states they will be sent out by 30th April so i gave them a call and was told that i needed to top my meter up for it to be added so i have been and put £1 on my card and its still not showing on my meter.



Has anybody else recieved theres.

i had a letter from BG stating they are now stopping the rebates and there is now a reduced tariff they have introduced. if you previously qualified for the rebate you will be put on the new tariff.

i had the same letter and put £5 on my gas card and it credited me ££65 so thats ok ,havnt had the £30 p.o. for my electric yet though

Thanks phoenix well i have credited my gas card twice now and still havent recieved my £60 so i'll have to phone them tomorrow.

Might well be worth a ring. I had to and it turns out I have an active account and a dormant account. Bet you can guess which one the whiz-kids at BG sent the rebate to! :mad:

this morning i just topped my gas meter up with £5 and now the total is £40.42 i dont owe anything either looks like BG have given me another £30 credit i dont know if this is error or not as i have already had 2 lots of £30 credits for gas and 2 lots £15 postal order for electric for the winter rebate, do you think it would be worth it to ring BG or just leave it and use the credit,

Well girls i recieved my £30 postal order in post yesterday for electric but still no gas so phoned them earlier and he told me he has new note on his desk to tell people instead of being credited to the meter i will be sent a postal order for gas £60 by the end of this week.
