Payplan have messed everything up for me this month and I'm now back to square one with my creditors all charging interest again.

Over the last seven months I had managed to get all creditors bar one to stop or greatly reduce interest on my accounts.
This month however I started to receive phone calls and text messages from the banks again complaining that they haven't received payment. All have reverted to charging me full interest.

I contacted payplan thinking there might just have been a delay because of Christmas etc but no, they just haven't paid it. They received it from me 3 weeks ago as usual and aren't sure why it's still in their bank but they will look into it.
Well thanks very much payplan. I now face further problems and increased debts, maybe thousands in interest because it will take me months to get the interest reduced again.

Not sure where to go from here. Any suggestions ?

    Well done mb:T

Can I have some of your luck...I've just paid a £90 vet's bill for my silly cat who was injured again fighting....thank goodness for an emergency fund.

    Cheers Puzzcat

    Boooo! That's rubbish :( but I have a tip for you :)

Bubble wrap - buy a couple of meters of bubble wrap and then encase your cat in it leaving room for eyes, nose and legs...

Your cat may look like some sort of small, weird, inflatable sheep (or some such) but should reduce combat wear and tear!

In which case, have you considered childrens wellies?

    Great money saving tip!

2x pairs of childs wellies (maybe £5 per pair) attach each pair at the top with shoe lace then simply place cat legs inside each wellie with shoe lace going over the cats back (think like childrens mittens through their winter coat).

Result - a cat in wellies which which is much safer and also less likely to get stuck in a tree, and won't fall off due to the shoelace/safety harness.

Lol, but think that may inhibit his escape from the nasty cats round here......moving house may be an option especially as my workplace have announced an 80% cut in staff in the next 4 years:eek:

Hello all. I had my lightbulb moment on Tuesday and have just started the ball rolling with Payplan. Hope to have my DMP in place by this time next month. I have been an ostrich over my debts for a long time - I have a carrier bag full of unopened cc statements and default charge letters upstairs - but have decided that 2014 is the time to stop burying my head in the sand and get it sorted out. I'd completely underestimated how much I owed and was shocked to find out it was £5.5K. I certainly have not been a reckless spender, but a combination of job losses, hubby's employer not providing work and bad luck resulted in having to rely on credit to survive. Not any longer though. For me, a DMP is a chance to start afresh and it will be fantastic to actually see my bank account in credit every month. Job prospects are hopefully looking up as I have recently graduated as a mature student, so with any luck I have increased my earning potential. I just hope that my creditors agree to freeze the interest otherwise I will be in for the long haul!

A cat in bovver boots (even ones with flowers or Paddington Bear on them) being hassled by other "bigger" cats? Nah... They'll not want to mess with Puzz in Boots! :)

Certainly cheaper than moving home to but 80% cut in the next 4 years? Ouch! I'm assuming it's phased and not just scare mongering?

That said, the company I work for reduced it's staff by 18% over the course of the last 2 years - we're a big company and that 18% was just over 2000 employees :(

Anyway, enough sad stuff it's Friday! So... you get some wellies and put them on your cat, then you rename him/her into Puzz in Boots! (you should get this on a tag as well including the exclamation mark)... Can you get your cat to meow with a latino accent maybe?

Hi Digley, don't really know what to suggest tbh. Would Payplan contact the creditors and explain they made a mistake and to not penalise you because of their error? Payplan must have a complaints procedure but doubt they pay compensation. You could change to another provider. I have always found Step Change to be very good.
