    Hi

I have another questions - sorry! I phoned the co op yesterday and was told I had been accepted for an account :-) and I would get the paperwork through followed by the card and pin number. Today the card appeared - no paperwork. The card doesnt say cashminder account on it (this might be normal - rbs put the name of the accounts on the card) but the leaflet that came with it says "as there is an overdraft facility on this account'? I didnt want that! Did anyone else who has thia account get the same leaflet? I can't call them to clarify as im at work all day and they will be closed by the time I finish. If not no matter fingers crossed I get the paperwork with account number etc through tomorrow. Thanks for reading! And good luck to everyone on their journey xx

We got a co op cash minder account and I am sure they say cash minder on it. Takes a while for it to all come through

Anywayout - my card is blue but doesn't say cashminder, just that's its coop and their tag line 'good with money'

Paperwork and stuff all came in drive and drabs for it and took a few days so don't stress too much about it, you've got a bank account not linked to your debts yay!
  • Hi

Well done on the 2nd job. I'd squirrel it away and look at options as to how it will best serve you.

Thanks........just wish I'd read it before speaking to StepChange as I have told them about it now!!!

Do you think that it would be something you could get away with then if I hadn't mentioned it?

Curious now as at the moment I am starting to wonder why I should kill myself being tired all the time if its just to ensure the creditors get their money back faster??? Why not just ease off and get some time back in my life to spend with my family as I only bust a gut now to stop us going under........and looks like that is happening now anyway!!
  • So I have finally bit the bullet and got the ball rolling but just have a few more queries for the good people on here.
    1. I have had the initial 'chat' with SC earlier today and they have sent me all the forms. They didn't really go through my I&E at all so does that mean that they will review it if and when I apply to them or are they not concerned as they didn't ask? I was all prepared with my justifications for certain figures that may look too high or too low but they never asked about a single figure???
    2. I mentioned the Credit Card that had not been paid and asked for advice. I was told (as per what is said on here) that I have to treat all creditors the same. Now if they get a DMP set up for the 1st Nov as predicted, it would mean me paying token payments to all creditors just the once......except for this one I have already missed which would end up with 2 token payments. I tried to explain that it was a pure timing issue in that the money simply ran out but now I'm thinking I should make a full payment for the missed payment on payday and then send a token next month so that its fair on them all? I wasn't worried at all about what they all thought but SC seem quite insistent that they are all treated the same so now I'm concerned?

    Thanks

I would just pay token payment to all from now regardless. May mean they default the accounts sooner which odd as it sounds would be good.

I agree, if they are going to default, sooner rather than later. Save your money to make sure you can keep up the DMP.

just a quick update from me and some news on interest being charged on debts either at full rates or 'reduced rates'. Keep complaining to get it frozen to the companies and then via the complaints procedure, its taken me 6 months but I have finally got interest frozen on all debts plus the interest paid on dreaded aqua deducted in full - result:T

also means that I now know I can get this paid off - my total balance was going up every month not down!

I'm off to go and do the happy dance!
  • well done catandy on the freezing of interest. i fear despite complaining initially i didnt follow up with FOS and missed the 6 month deadline. I only have one left but its pushing my DFD out and out.

great to see a winner against the battle.
