Cat Burnt by Profender Worming Treatment

Options
We have 2 cats - both are wormed monthly using Profender spot-on treatment
We last wormed them both on Thursday afternoon - this morning, we woke up to a pile of fur - where one cat had pulled it out - the area on the back of the neck, where the treatment was given is raw - pink and bleeding - I am guessing an allergy has developed !!
We phoned the vet, who had supplied the treatment to ask them for advice - they told us to bathe the area with water
I have emailed the manufacturers to inform them

Anyone had anything similar ?

I use Profender every 3 months (on Vets advice as my cat has monthly flea drops which cover one of the worms) and never had a problem.

Do you still have the box/empty pipette, could be a dodgy batch?

Yes - I quoted the batch numbers in my email to the manufacturers
