Hi all
My wife and I have received a cheque today from an investment in Australia for over $10,000 .It is in both our names where would be the best place to cash this cheque to receive the best exchange rate. any advice would be grateful

If it is a cheque in joint names will you have to credit it to a joint account? Do you have one? Have you asked your UK bank about its procedures?

Thanks for advice yes we have a Barclays joint acc have not got to the stage of asking Banks for exchange rates thought that it would have to be deposited in a joint acc0
