Please enlighten me - used socks?

I presume this is some sort of gay erotica, but ... is it a code for something? The buyer actually receives used but washed socks for more than the price of several new ones? Please share if you know the details, I am so curious. Having been looking for socks lately I've come across a few ads like this.

If you look at his completed listings,he is making quite a bit by selling his 'used' pants and socks. :eek:

Looks like quite a good niche, might have to investigate further.;)

Oh yes, I didn't look at his other listings or feedback. This might be (probably IS ) naive but IF I was into used undies I'd be wanting them unwashed and that's against ebay rules. Oh, gosh, shock horror ....... perhaps that is what is going on.

Anyway, yes, a good niche market. Old socks, in our house, don't even go to charity shops, a great bit of recycling methinks.

Problem is if you were to sell this kind of stuff you would more than likely end up with pervy emails from the buyers. I have seen that it's quite common for the buyer to expect pics along with their purchase.
I wouldn't want anyone turning up on my doorstep, can't be too safe and i worry for these people selling this type of stuff.

Actually there is a few niche markets on eBay that can be quite profitable.

A trawl of the charity shops and a half decent faintly suggestive photo, jobs a good 'in.

I was looking for men's socks and found a few of these ads. Thinks, the ones that I'm throwing out .... I assume most of the attraction is the photographs .... a new market might be a cat sitting on the pile of washing? We get that a fair bit here.
