Running version 8.1 of msn messenger. Nephew told me there is version 9 available. Went to msn.co.uk website and clicked on messenger link which gave me this..

http://imagine-msn.com/messenger/launch/en-GB/

there is no info about what version it is

when i downloaded the software it was the same version.

the question is is version 8.1 current? if a new proper working version (not beta) is available then can someone please point me in the right direction

thanks
Problem with having access to internet is that i get asked by many to solve their problems :( Well at least i learn something on the way :D

The latest version is Windows Live Messenger 8.1.

Microsoft are renaming some services to Windows Live, such as Msn messenger, hotmail etc.

It should be there by default, as it is on mine.

Have you got unread messages in your inbox?

  • Microsoft has not got to 8.5beta yet, so either he lie to you to make you look like a fool or he just said it thinking that 8.1 is 9. lol

i much prefer the windows live one to the old msn. i refused to use msn for years as it never worked right, just switched back from yahoo, and only had problems 1 day and that was with sending webcam.
