check my file scores

Are they meaningful/accurate at all? I find it odd that for all three agencies callcredit, equifax, and experian I have the same score 814 lenders, 818 landlords/employers, yet the scoring bands for the credit agencies are different.

how good (or perhaps not that good) is 814?

thanks.

They are pretty much worthless, let alone inaccurate.

    Ok got it :-)

At least there is consensus on it. Thanks all.
  • I used Experian to check my score under its 'Free Trial' but its not obvious that its not free to previous users. When I went to register it recognised my email as a previous user, so I had to log back in (having gone thru the usual password reset stuff.) I checked my score and rang them the same day to cancel membership, thinking that would be it. Oh no! Same day, I was debited for £14.99, so I emailed to complain, highlighting the 'Free Trial' wording on their ad. No reply (except an auto-response: 'Ring to cancel.') 1 month later, email arrived saying 'Goodbye.' No refund still. Just rung them to complain - told it says 'in very small print' that returning (previous) customers not eligible for the Free Trial. What is a new customer? I argued. If I am not 'live,' having cancelled my membership previously, surely I am new. No, if you have a Log In Username, you are not. So - Beware!

That would be a very strange definition of 'new'.
