Right just asked my dad (hes a mechanic) he says forget pushing down on the wing, it needs to be over a pit to actually get a good look. He reckons if they are gone your looking at about £120/£140 tops. He says not a reason to get rid of the car. HTH good luck I'm sure it wont be too costly. Providing theres nothing else wrong.
Thanks Manda - that is fab. You are a star :AOlympic Countdown Challenge #145 ~ DFW Nerd #389 ~ Debt Free Date: [STRIKE]December 2015[/STRIKE] September 2015

This doesn't make sense. She might as well get it checked out and decide what to do after she gets the results. She might be risking a big bill but there's a guaranteed big bill if she buys another car instead.
What might be better for next year would be to get it MOT'd a month early. If it fails you have some thinking time and if it passes you have a 13 month ticket.
Thanks that is a good tip for the future.Olympic Countdown Challenge #145 ~ DFW Nerd #389 ~ Debt Free Date: [STRIKE]December 2015[/STRIKE] September 2015
