Should i complain?

Just want to check, the broker did place the application with Halifax as well?
If he used a different lender then a) nothing to worry about, and b) no reason to complain.
If I have missed where you confirm where the broker placed the case then sorry for my ignorance, I did skim some of this!
Blimey. I hope you are more careful with the advise you provide to your clients. If you can't be bothered to read the posts then surely it would be better all round not to comment at all?0 -

You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Broker, so you need to take my word for it.This signature is here as I follow MSE's Mortgage Adviser code of conduct. Any posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as financial advice.0 -

Not at all.........I would have considered it fundamental for anyone, especially a declared mortgage adviser (note, not advicer), to read posts before adding comments. Certainly does nothing to enhance the reputation of the industry.
I am not going to be pedantic and point out that both advise and advice is correct................but I suppose I just have!:)0 -

You're wrong.
Advice is a noun, advise is a verb.
An adviser can provide advice (as a noun) or can advise (as a verb) someone.
An advicer cannot provide advise
Edit: check the dictionary if you do not believe me.Thinking critically since 1996....0 -
Sir, I entirely agree with your comments. However, in the post I was referring to advise (as in to "offer advise") and whilst I have long shed my school shorts, I think it is correct. However, I cannot recall ever seeing advicer in any dictionary. But...I digress. Back to mortgages.0

If you're going to complain, do it well after you've moved in to the new place.0

You can offer advice (as it is a noun) or advise (as a verb).
To offer advise does not make grammatical sense.
It's like saying "do you belief me?" - "belief" is the noun, "believe" is the verb.Thinking critically since 1996....0 -
Perhaps the only way to tell would be to get/look at a copy of the application form from the branch application and get/look at a copy of the application from the broker application and just compare the two. Has anything been submitted differently (or incorrectly)?
If a full application was submitted on both occasions, then both the branch and the broker should have provided you with a printed copy of the application form for your records - otherwise you have no idea what info has been provided in your name - ??0
