    Thanks i decided to just febrezze it and leave on the line for the day-it's not dirty just charity shop smelling. Seems fine now though.
  • I never really pay attention to this - pop it into a pillowcase and on a wool wash - then wash it only if it gets dirty after that. never had a problem! I always wash things i get in charity shops before wearing.

    Hand wash. In the sink or bath, in cold water. Swizzle it around in hand wash detergent. Fill sink/bath again and rinse. And again.

    Then slow spin. And hang on a good clothes hanger to kind of drip dry.

    Haven't sent anything to the dry cleaners apart from th OH good suits, you know, the interview, wedding and funeral suits.

    Wouldn't put them in the bath! but he can if he wants!

    Me too, I always wash clothes I get from a charity shop, just incase there are any nasties on it.
    I must remember that "Money Saving" is not buying heavily discounted items that I do not need. :hello:
