What sort of marijuana are you planning on growing? What sort of quantity?
What about lighting?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

ha ha exactly what my son said, it has 2 speacil bulbs on a timer and nutrient low indicator and water low indicator so complete kit0 -
Google the nutrient requirements of what your growing and pop along to the £1 shops and see what they have that matches.
Or if you have allotments or a cheap garden centre near you, They may sell it by the scoopy for less. £1 shops are not always cheap.
Say you buy the pellets from the £1 shop and add a bit of liquid tomato feed to boost some levels.
Dump some into a bucket with a lid and half fill with water, Let the nutrients pass to the water. Then strain into bottles and dilute as required.
I have grown tomatoes in small pots and kept them sat in a tray full of water. So the roots grew out and into the tray of water.
Not designed that way, But because i forgot to repot them. Seemed to work OK.
No idea on the nutrient indicator etc. Is it accurate?
Also making own fertiliser. Also google which plants have the nutrients you need. Like when they make (tea) from comfrey and dilute it to feed other plants.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
I did hydroponics for 1 season about 5yrs ago . It was set up in the greenhouse. I had 5 x 2 litre pop bottles with the bottoms cut off placed upside down with vermiculite inside. they drained in to guttering and that drained into a plastic storage box. I then used a small aquarium pump and a micro irrigation kit to pump the nutrients back round. I grew a courgette and some tomato plants. they went bonkers. I bought the nutrients from the hydroponicum (I visited it) I bought a nutrient wand from ebay. I got most of my information from weed growing websites as they seem to have it down to a fine art. I did it for a bit of fun and no doubt will do it again in the future. I think it cost about £35 quid to put together (wand and vermiculite) but it was about 6ft long altogether
I have not tried the aerogarden hydroponics kit but just had a look at them, they are cheap but I think for there size I would imagine soil in a pot would do just as fine.0 -
thanks for your replies, will be visiting £1 shop for pellets and tomato feed thanks forgotmyname..

I recall reading that Phostrogen can be used for hydroponics.
Haven't bought any for years, so not sure how price is, but looking at the fact sheet, normal strength is mixed at 2 grams per 5 litres of water
Download fact sheet from HERE."We could say the government spends like drunken sailors, but that would be unfair to drunken sailors, because the sailors are spending their own money."
