Need advice about depositing my cheque

Hello everyone,
I have the following situation. In a nutshell, I received a cheque for just £30 from a company which has my wrong name on it. My first name is mistaken, while my last name matches. They refused to amend it and I explained the situation to my bank (Santander). Understandably, they refused proceeding my cheque as well. My question is can I cash it out as a third party cheque, and if so, what should be written at the back? Do Santander accept such cheques. And if not, are there any other places (not banks) that could help me cash it out, even if they take a commission for it? Also, if I just try with one of the ATM machines, what happens if they refuse my cheque, will I be charged (how much)? It can't quite bounce as there are sufficient funds in the sender's account, the problem is in the name that doesn't quite match. Thank you in advance!
