Me and my ex fianc!e have split up after 8 years, only got sour since December when she started spending more time with her sister etc and I was away a lot, trust issues, both too blame even though nothing happened, however we have two kid, one age 7 and one age 3 , we both have a joint Tenancy in a London housing association property , she has chucked me out and I'm thinking of kids before myself went so it wasn't hostile situation for kids... so I am in between three property's , I have said I will try and pay half the bills and council tax etc as it my rights etc, but I am at a lost to the property it self as she said I should get another property in my name if I sign of the joint tenancy agreement Into her name so the housing association says, surely not, as if I sign it off it sounds like I made my self voluntary homeless, can anyone advice me as really feeling lonely and lost without my kids, I am deaf without speech so sorry for the bad grammar and errors.

Sorry to hear of your relationship troubles, I cant offer you much advice only a virtual hug and my sincerest hopes that you manage to work things out amicably.
Since you have housing related concerns perhaps you might get more detailed advice by the very knowledgable people over on the House Buying, Renting & Selling board?0 -
I too just wanted to offer a hug, I feel for you. I would get in touch with the housing association on Monday and explain the situation, you never know they might have a helpful solution for the interim. Best of luck.0

Do not surrender your joint tenancy just yet. The HA will not automatically house you and as a single male, you will have NO priority. You will simply have to go rent privately/sofa surf/stay with a relative.Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0

Hey thanks guys,
I haven't signed anythink as i got a meeting with cab on 21st febuary as i need a BSL interpreter booked in, I just feel like im a vicious circle without any chance of escape, It almost like she has moved on so quickly as she shown no emotions or anything, I just want to forget it all ever happened but my children are a constant reminder of her even though i wouldn't change them for the world, If she has moved on, how do I? I made the mistake of begging for her back on the same day and via text for a couple of days after but now I realise I need to move on and just get on with life. but nearly 8 years together since she was 16 and I was 18 has gone out the window and I have a bleak future for a good while..:( sorry...dunno what I'm asking here except releasing a bit of tension in me0 -
You're not going to be able to pay half of the rent, CTax and bills as well as providing support for your two children. You've got your own housing to pay for now that she's chucked you out of your home.
Get in touch with the Council's CTax section asap so you cease to be liable for that bill. Ditto the energy suppliers if you can get meter-readings. The only good thing about surrendering your joint-tenancy is that you won't be liable for the rent any longer should she default ayt some point in the future.0
