  • I dont have any PPI certificates (with certificate numbers on).
Obviously it's better if you have the PPI policy numbers (which is why it asks for them on the questionnaire), but the Bank should be able to locate the associated PPI from the loan account numbers you do have.

    Hi Money,

Don't know if this is relevant, but on my Black Horse loan paperwork the loan and PPI was all on one page and I believe the PPI policy number and loan account numbers were the same:)

    Hi again DG!

They certainly weren't for mine from HSBC.
As stated, the Bank should still be able to locate the PPI from the loan account numbers.

Well.......I still haven't got round to submitting my claim of mis-sold PPI, but I’m hoping to complete it this week (7 forms is taking an age)

Just one quick question though......is there a specific complaint that I can include in regards to Front Loaded PPI?

The questionnaire guide states the following:-

If misselling is due to being sold a single premium policy
I paid a single premium for my policy but did not see it through to the end of it’s initial term after [select from paying back my loan earlier than planned on the [insert date] / cancelling the insurance before the end of my loan agreement on the [insert date] / a change in my circumstances meant I was no longer eligible for the insurance from the [insert date] and I informed you of this at the time].

But.......none of the above applies, as it only seems to include early settlement or cancelled PPI?

Is merely stating that the PPI was front loaded reason enough? (I also have evidence of other mis-selling reasons).
Some days you're the bird......and some days you're the statue

Yours were Single Premium and were a chain of 7 loans and these were consolidated each time with a new one, add any other reasons for mis sell that you have as well.

    Quick Update

Submitted my complaint against 7 loans with 'front loaded' PPI on the 04/04/13. I received confirmation of my complaint on the 12/04.
On the 03/05 I received a call from Lloyds and was on the phone for about 40mins, answering questions about my recollection of conversations going back to 1994.
This was followed up with a call on the 12/05, where Lloyds wanted further information regarding my ‘Death in Service’ benefits. At the end of the call the very pleasant lady stated that I would receive a letter detailing her findings within 2 weeks. I wasn’t confident after the grilling that I’d received, but as I had all the evidence I needed I felt that I’d given everything that was required.
2 weeks passed and I kept thinking that no news was probably going to be bad news.......until yesterday when I received a single page letter. The letter stated something along the lines of ‘further to our letter dated 21/04 which detailed our findings against your PPI complaint (no letter has been received yet), please find enclosed final settlement of.........£11,495.01 !!!

WOW.........the total PPI that I paid was only £3.1K.

All it all it took a lot of hard work to compile all the information, evidence and complete the 7 questionnaires ......and the rigorous questioning from Lloyds wasn’t the most enjoyable experience, as I suppose so many false ‘claims’ have been submitted. BUT it was so worth it.
Thanks to MSE and all the responses to numerous threads that I've read, which have helped with my complaints. VEGAS here I come.......only joking, it's like winning a 'small' new car though :T
