Balance transfer from someone else's account?

Is it possible to do a balance transfer from someone else's account? My daughter has had a balance transfer offer from her credit card company. She has to make a major purchase soon and if she uses her card will get some heavy interest charges.
Would it be feasible to make the purchase on my card and then transfer this to her card?
She is a student and would probably have difficulty getting another credit card in her own name.

Yes it is usually possible - providing the cards are from a different card issuer (e.g. not barclaycard to barclaycard).

usually the best was is to do the transfer online - as it then avoids the question being directly asked.

yes totally possible, and while not truly applicable in this case the one point to remember is the account holder of the card the balance is switched to is FULLY liable to repay the debt.

In your case as the debt is orginally your daughters and going to be transfered to her card this point doesnt count.

    yes totally possible,

That's a bit misleading. It is not always possible.

Some card issuers specifically prohibit it (eg: Sanatander) but most are okay.
