Insurance Cover For Home Appliances

Hi

Does anyone know of an insurance company that covers several home appliances at the same time?

My guarantees have run their course and the individual quotes for each item are expensive

Hi,
British Gas do a reasonable policy, but it only covers things like Washing machines, fridges, etc.

Domestic and General are the people that I automatically get sent details of when the warranties on my appliances are due to expire.

However ask yourself how much the insurance will cost for all your items compared to repair or repurchase cost. e.g. if you insure 5 items for a total of £250 is it likely that more than 1 item will go wrong and would it cost more than £250 to repair/replace.

hi there - I have one through Norwich Union Direct - Appliance breakdown policy. Covers cookers, washing machines, dishwashers, tv's, dvd players, hi-fi's sky/cable boxes, tumble dryers, video players, all major appliances. Cover startes from 1 year to 5 or 8 years old. They will repair if they can but if not they will replace. Is about £12 a month. I used to work for them and it was a very popular policy. So far they have fixed my oven, cd player and replaced my fridge freezer!
