Never switched

I am one of those customers that have never switched, and currently being supplied by e-on.

I've always thought better the devil you know, but it's all down to money at the end of the day.

Last year I used 6808 kwh of electricity, and it's electric only at no mains gas to the village, and I pay monthly direct debit.
I've looked on uswitch, but has anyone got any suggestions and advice?

Regards
Munchie

Nothing wrong with Uswitch, but best to check the figures given on another site, switchwithwhich ?

When you reckon you have the deal you want, visit that suppliers w/site and ask for a quote to confirm the figures
  • What is your area? I'll have a look for you if you wish. It's not just about the cheapest there are often T&Cs that won't be acceptable to you.
  • I'm East Midlands, Nottinghamshire.

NPower is coming out with the biggest saving, approx £120, some £50 more than the next highest.

This is where the 'reading the T&Cs' come into the equation. That figure includes an annual discount of £42 paid in arrears (i.e only after you have been on thta tariff for at least 12 months and not missed any DDs etc). There's also a £30 exit fee to pay should you decide to leave before 31/8/14. Suffice to say should npower increase the tariff to a price you aren't happy with in the 12 months of the qualifying period and you switch away you not only lose the £42 discount (remember this discount is included in the figure showing on the switching site) but also £30 in exit fees. £72 total. It's an absolute minefield out there.
