Anyone point me in the direction of a free PDF to word converter that actually works?
Tried 2 or 3 free ones last night and spent an hour uninstalling a mountain of junk afterwards.
There must be one out there somewhere
Cheers

If the PDF has selectable text then you could just copy and paste the content into word and format accordingly.
If not, what you need is some OCR software. Unless the text is crisp and clear, it's not going to be an easy ride.0 -

They aren't great at converting tables and graphics but usually gets all of the text.0 -
The best one I've used is by Nuance, and it runs 'in the cloud'. You use the 'readerr' to open the file, then there's an option to convert it online

It was actually quite good on converting tables too0 -
Alternatively - try OPENOFFICE rather than MS Office - you can convert (save as) Docs to (and from) pdf's !!0
