Buyer Had Wrong Address on PayPal

Hi there
Buyer contacted me about a BIN price for a low value item I was selling (under a tenner) so I accepted her price and we completed the transaction via PayPal but outside eBay. I posted the item to her last week to the verified/secured address stated on her PayPal account (can't remember the correct term).
Anyway today she messages me saying she hasn't received the item and I replied saying I sent it to her address ending with postcode [XYZ] as stated on her PayPal. She replied saying she hasn't lived there for three years.
When I double checked the PayPal info I noticed she had added a note (which I genuinely hadn't noticed when I originally went to print her address) stating the item she was purchasing from me and a different address to send to.
However, I was just wondering what normally happens in a case like this? Obviously I can't prove delivery so am prepared that PayPal may take the money back but isn't it her fault for not changing her verified address? Even if I had noticed the note at the time I would not have sent it to that address as it's not her verified PayPal address (but I would have queried it with her). Also, how can she never have noticed if she purchases regularly from eBay?
Any advice much appreciated.

If you could prove delivery to her paypal address you would win - but you didn't send tracked.
So if she claims INR - you can't win.0 -
Do you have proof of posting to he confirmed address?
You may want to tell her that what she is doing could lose her money if she doesnt change it. If she is genuine she may just be unaware of the risk, if she buys a large item next and it goes recorded she will lose.0 -

I do have proof of posting but I can't prove delivery unfortunately.
The frustrating thing about this is I can't even claim it back from Royal Mail because it's not their fault.
Would it be worth suggesting she try contacting her old address just in case it's there?

Update: I sent it recorded (didn't mention this above because of how often sellers get slammed on here for sending recorded) and I just checked the the tracking number provided and it says the following:
We have your item
"We have tried to deliver your item from our XXX Delivery Office before 11:42 on 04/02/13 and we have left a while you were out card.
You can arrange a redelivery online, call the number on your card to arrange a re-delivery, or collect the item from your local enquiry office by bringing your card and proof of identification and address."
Does that count as proof of delivery? And is there any way at all this package could be intercepted given it's got the right name on it but the wrong address??0 -

No it doesn't count as proof of delivery, only when returning stuff. Do you have a return address on it? If so it should be returned to you after 18 days. Or if the woman still lives in the same area, she could arrange delivery to her address if she pops the tracking details in.4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0 -
