Faulty dishwasher

Hi Everyone
I'm a newbie in need of some advice. I bought a Whirlpool dishwasher on 13 September 2012 via Curry's. It worked perfectly well until mid December when it was no longer heating the water and consequently dishes remained unclean and wet at the end of the cycle. Whirlpool arranged for an engineer to visit on 20 December and he diagnosed the problem as a faulty heater which he duly replaced, tested and declared it to be working. The next day the dishwasher was used and the problem still existed or recurred (I don't know which). Because Christmas was shortly upon us Whirpool could not get an engineer to visit until 3 January. The engineer arrived, repaired the machine and all was well for 4 weeks, when the heater has again failed. The engineer called today but cannot fix the machine until a week tomorrow (Thursday 14 Feb). Is anybody able to advise me on how long I should keep accepting repairs to a relatively new machine, for the same fault each time? Also, I have been unable to use it for around 3 weeks in total, should Curry's be extending the guarantee period?

Many thanks in advance. :)

Sandypops61. if you have a sink, and you can reach the sink etc etc etc than being without a dishwasher is not a significant inconvenience, the only thing in the SoGA is that a remedy must be carried out within a reasonable timeframe without causing significant inconvenience to yourself.

If the failures happened close together than you may of been able to get a replacement through Currys, however the time it worked for a month breaks that, so the best I can offer is to call Currys and state how displeased you are with the washing machine and ask what they are going to do about it now, or if it fails again.
