Ford privilege club

Hi all,
I'll be renewing my wife's Fiesta in the next month or so and am getting prices from Polar and Gordon's Ford. I got a quote from Gordon's today who mentioned if I had a privilege voucher he could offer an extra £1700 off the cost. I was intrigued. It turns out my uncle used to work for Fords (now retired) and added my dad to the privilege list years ago so my dad has a privilege card. Neither have a clue how to use the scheme though.
Question is, is it as simple as taking my dads privilege card in to the dealer with me or is it more complicated than that? If so what needs to happen?
Regards,
Richard.

If the salesman encouraged you to use a card, I doubt he would have any problems advising you how to do so? Just ask.
And that my son, is how to waft a towel!

You need to get a new number for a new car (you can't reuse a privilege card)- you need to get you uncle to contact Ford for a new number - then take that to the dealer

    - it also gets you a discount on services
