is there a difference between the ordinary kaspersky internet security and pure? if so what is the difference and which is best?

They both the same
Pure just allows one computer to update policys on all computers within home0 -

I've used a number of AV products over the years and KAV is definitely one of the easiest and, according to tech reviews, best around.
Added to that Barclays give it away for free.0
