recipe ideas for mascarpone cheese, bacon and potatoes........

  • oh i like to bake potatoes, let them cool enough to handle, scoop out the middle, put skins back in oven to crisp up, meanwhile crisp up the bacon (til very crispy but not burnt) then chop/crumble up bacon onto potato flesh and mix the mascarpone through this before refilling potato skins and putting back in oven for 5/10mins to go all cheesy gooey goodness. have also been know to put a wee dod of bbq sauce at the bottom before adding the filling. yum yum yum.

    if i didnt have my meals sorted for next few days i would be having this tomorrow, making my mouth water as i type!! :rotfl::rotfl:
  • Small point - potatoes don't go out of date. They may start shooting a little, but the date is a complete red herring.
