Using Flora for cake making

Hello all,

I wonder if you could help. I made some fairy cakes yesterday and I normally use Vitalite as the butter/marg and they turn out fine.

Yesterday, though I used Flora (bought on offer worked out cheaper than vitalite) :D

Anyway they turned out with burnt bits on, now that might have been my fault :o but the underneath were nasty and greasy  I think they might be going in the bin, which is a shame but wondered if the greasy bit was down to the Flora and it being the wrong sort of marg to use?
