Can you still claim PPI from Comet?

My mum has a Comet store card and over the last few weeks my dad has been doing PPI claims for the different loans etc which they have. They remembered today about possibly claiming on their Comet card and after doing some research I cant find any details for Comet. Now is this because Comet have gone bust and you cant claim or another company is dealing with these issues?

Any help would be appreciated

Comet Store cards were i believe operated by Santander, you would need to check if the agreement was with Comet or Santander but i would guess Santander so you might have a chance.

As you can only make a mis-selling complaint to the seller (Comet) this information is not accurate.
Trying to obtain anything from a Comet storecard is now a non-starter.

...and what if you still owe them (Comet) money? I mean do they have the right to refuse your ppi claim even when you are still repaying the balance on your edge card?

Any valid PPI claim ( not mis-selling complaint) would be paid by the insurer, even if Comet were still trading, so the collapse has no effect .
If you want to make a PPi mis-selling complaint then there is no one to complain to. The money you still owe on the card goes to Comet's creditors.
