Travel insurance from moneysupermarket

Try as I might I could not get a quote for travel insurance from Money supermarket though I got loads from Gocompare and other comparison sites. When I contacted them they eventually told me this was because my wife and I fall "into different age groups that are set by the insurance companies". Don't waste your time using Moneysupermarket for travel insurance if you are a different age group from your wife! (whatever that means)

It can be tricky working out what 'age group' you are in.

Normal scales (but these can vary between providers) are:
Under 50
50 - 65
66 - 70
71 - 75
76 - 80
81 - 85
86+

But it sort of makes nonsense because so many partnerships will be caught out at least sometimes - even if the couple are only 1 year different once one of them is 65.
