I trust you did not put that - you've just told them you do not have the right to work in the UK without a visa!0

I did put that, there was another section for my right to work which I answered sensibly, seeing as it was a sensible question to ask.
Be careful - whilst I can see the humour in your answers, in the current job market I would not actively be giving employers a reason to decline your application, and that is what you have done.0 -

Well to be technical, all of the answers could be changeable, the questions are always what you indentify with. One could easily change their mind as to whether they are catholic or agnostic, likewise with sexuality and even gender. And also ethnicity, it's your interpretation of your identity, unlike nationality which is fairly clear cut.
Hence why I never take much consideration to those questions and usually choose not to answer. I'm not madly enamoured with the job so I won't be put out either way, but I was under the impression that such questions were always to be voluntary?
The questions do not need to be voluntary, the only criteria is that the employer should not base their decision on a protected characteristic.
An employer will not care about your "technical" interpretation. If they have 100 applications for a job and see someone giving stupid answers (and that is what they are), they'll bin the application. If you ask why, they'll say someone was better qualified.0 -

I don't think you would rather see everyone posting about getting jobs rather than positng about the process of job seeking, as per the title of the board... Many thanks for your mildly useless opinion disregarding the logic behind the monitoring questions.
Regardless, I don't think it is silly at all, I was under the impression that discrimination on such grounds was illegal and that questions as above were always to be voluntary. If anyone else is able to offer and more enlightening response, I'd be grateful to hear it.
There is a current post of someone getting a job, after all it is Employment as well as Jobseeking here.
The opinion may be useless to you but could be of use to someone else.
Not very enlightening though, sorry.0 -

not really as the info on diversity can not be used in the application process.0
