Toshiba Places (no iplayer etc) ?

Hi
I have had my Toshiba TL86 for about a year now. I have only just got the wireless adapter and all seemed well until I have used the Toshiba Places. The problem it with TV Place, EPG, Catch-up TV, each time I try to use it is says TV Place is empty. Have I done something wrong ? I would like this to work as it is probably the only part of it I will use.

Thanks

Do you have a smart dvd player and did you connect this first?
  • Yes I do have one but I have not installed the smart part. It needs to be connected direct to the router for that to work. It does play cds and it is connected. I also have SKY connected but no smart features that use the internet.

Might be revert to old practice and turn off, leave for a while and turn back on. I have seen some articles where it seems Toshiba Places can take a while to appear.
  • I just called them, it seems that there was a problem with the iplayer when my TV was new. As I have only just got around to using that part of it I did not realise mine had a problem. They are sending me the Firmware to plug in to resolve it.
    Thanks for trying to help.

    Good. Enjoy it. :)
  • I am a bit miffed though, there is only iplayer and none of the other on demand channels.
