Hi
I had my esa assessment yesterday as a home visit and i am a little confused.
The Doctor was only at my house for 5 mins and all he said was im not going to waste your time i can tell from reading your esa50 you are not fit for work and i will be recommending this to the dwp leave it t me.
Is this normal and will the dwp go against what the doctor is saying?
sorry if it is a stupid post but my anxiety is playing up and this is bugging me

The DWP usually take strong account of the medical report.
It can be ignored if they beleive there is enough evidence.
In some cases, the form will contain references to things that can be easily checked - that would give automatic entitlement to ESA.
For example, if you mention a prescribed power-chair, and answer the door in it.
You should phone up the DWP at the end of the week or so, and ask for a copy of the medical report.
'Not fit for work' - is ambiguous as to which group he was recommending.0 -

I would have hoped the the "doctor" would have read your ESA50 before coming to see you. This is the problem, Atos so called "doctors" aren't following Atos's procedures!!
As Roger has said the DWP put great sway on what Atos "doctors" say even though they are supposed to look at ALL the evidence submitted and even if they are still unsure they should then request further medical evidence.0 -

I think it's something like an ESA85 or an ESA85A but don't quote me.
Calling the DWP is a waste of time as basically they don't know and even worse don't care.0 -
