Can anyone recommend a good/ the best laptops for entering competitions?
Ideally id like to be able to enter some comps in the evenings with the tv on the background so I wont be at a desk.
I think a laptop with a scroll wheel might make it a little easier as i am used to scrolling with my mouse and might miss that feature.
Should i even splash out on a apple laptop?
All suggestions welcome
Thanks
Has anyone any experience of using a chrome book for entering comps and are they any good?

I use a laptop but use it with a mouse, I just couldn't get on without one. Mine's a Toshiba and I'm very happy with it.

I use a laptop and watch TV, Its a bit too big as it has a separate number pad. An essential accessory to get is some sort of laptop tray to stop your legs overheating.
Good things come to those who comp:D
  • At the end of the day, it doesn't matter if you get a Windows or Mac laptop as you're mostly entering comps through the Internet.

The main things to look for are a good keyboard and screen so you can comp more comfortably. Don't skimp and go for a cheaper model as you may regret it later.

Generally with Macs, they are built to a high standard so you can't really go wrong. However, they will take a little bit of time to get used to as some of the shortcuts are different and you'll still try to use it like a Windows computer when you first get it.
  • I enter from my Laptop.
I just have a tray so I am comfortable.

I must admit it is a large laptop with a separate number pad which at times can feel a little big especially if i want to connect the mouse so don't have much room then.
So maybe a standard size laptop would be better with a separate mouse :)
