Has NatWest changed?? or am I going mad?

Its looks like the issue has already been recognised:.
However its very strange to change it now as this has always been the case as far back as I can remember.Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0 -
Noticed this too and its driving me potty!
Just wish they had communicated this to the customers etc before going ahead with it.
Here's hoping they don't just suddenly change the "payments you can withdraw on a weekend before the Monday they are paid in" system they have. It will give me something else to moan about!
Do not be surprise if it does change in the near future as it causes a lot of complaints.Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0 -
This is really poor. I noticed it a few days ago.
It just leads to total confusion, especially if you have a basic account ( I have a basic one & a 'normal' one and the whole reason I use my basic one is because the transactions always update immediately and you can see straight away what is happening)
I have had a couple of refunds and paid out a few items and you have no idea what the balance represents - which items have already been accounted for, which are still to come out.
I'll be making a complaint - I haven't checked how many issues have been raised on the ideas bank about it - is it still there ? It used to be front page, but is now hidden away, I think.
Perhaps if we all log something with the ideas bank, they will realise that it's something that we all need / want[STRIKE]DFW Nerd number 729[/STRIKE]Debt Free & Proud0 -

Raise a complaint as the bank do not realise what a big of issue it is gonna be to customers. Its not been communicated to staff so they will possibly act like what the hell you on about. So it might be worth raising it on ideas bank.Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0 -

I've added an issue on ideas bank - as have several others and I will raise as a complaint as well.
Interestingly, the responses to the first few comments of 'Please show the pending transactions' was the usual 'good idea, we'll pass it on' Then the guys were obviously updated and the last response said that it was to avoid confusion [STRIKE]DFW Nerd number 729[/STRIKE]Debt Free & Proud0 -

Well I think its a strange one really as the customers with a purple debit card did not see the pending account transactions online as the customers could with a blue debit card. I think its all going to turn out to be a big mess :eek:Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0 -
You're not going mad, I noticed this too. Thought I had £359 in my account. Was expecting the debit card payments to show as 'POS' & amount on the Friday. Monday, all taken out and balance was much lower than we thought. I thought about it, for a moment and then the moment went, as it all tallied up. But as I have quite a lot going on in my bank at the moment, I am checking it a few times a day.0

When I had a current account with NatWest the debit card transactions didn't show authorisations but the savings account with a debit card did.
The current was purple with £250 CGC and the savings was blue .
I just assumed it was to do with people with off/online debit cardsWell I think its a strange one really as the customers with a purple debit card did not see the pending account transactions online as the customers could with a blue debit card. Yeah in this instance the customers with full authority debit cards will not notice the difference.

I've noticed this, but I always tally my spreadsheet balance to the available funds in my Natwest online banking (ie. if a POS hasn't shown up yet but I know I've definitely made it so make sure I account for it) and it's not caused me any issues."Save £12k in 2019" #120 - £100,699.57/£100,0000
