Does anyone know if it is possible to get a (Universal) adaption for a mobility scooter where you can fit a leg rest on it.
My scooter is great but I'd like to be able to raise my bad leg as at the moment it is a little uncomfortable if using it for long periods.
If not I may have to design something.

With both powered and manual wheelchairs leg raisers are normally available because they are true mobility aids but scooters are a diffent kettle of fish and even if you could knock something up to support your leg you couldnt use it apart from at home because even scooters have some rules.0 -

Would you care to furnish these rules on us, because as far as I can see from reading the information in the .GOV website there are no restrictions to adaptions being used on scooters. Hence why you can buy canopies, trailers etc for them.
Hence ahy scooters are not mobility aides :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -
You want the same rights as a wheelchair user but you are not a wheelchair user, scooters dont have the same legal rights as wheelchairs and you even know that yourself because you cant use the trams where you live where as I would be able to use them.
I happen to have both a wheelchair and a scooter. I just can't self propel very far and certainly not up and down hill.
I'm still waiting for you to direct me to these legal rights that prevent a scooter from having a footrest, or any other adaptions.[SIZE=-1]To equate judgement and wisdom with occupation is at best . . . insulting.
