Could be any, lots of traditionally European firms now have manufacturing plants in China as well as (or instead of) in Europe.

So, buy a part today and it's made in Germany, buy another one tomorrow and that might have come from China.

Throw in sub-assemblies and it gets even more complicated, if some/all of the bits are made in China but the bits are assembled in Germany is that German or Chinese?

Whole Audis are made in China.

I do know there is an Audi factory in China (Changchun).

I ask because a "know it all" on an Audi forum claims that NO parts for Audi vehicles sold in the UK are made in China.

I believe Audi and many component manufacturers are international companies who source their parts world wide. He is asking for specifics and "proof"

Almost all VAG parts are made in China, Mexico, South Africa, Brazil or India - that's why the finished products are unreliable sh*t!
