One way van hire from Bath/Bristol to Belfast

Hi there. Really stuck with this - I don't seem to be getting anywhere with the major companies - I can get get quoted for cars, but not vans! - and google is refusing to be my friend. Hoping someone here can help and advise! Does anyone know if it's even possible to pick up a van in the mainland and drop it off in NI? It's from Bath or Bristol to Belfast overnight on the ferry from Liverpool. We don't want to have to make that mammoth journey again in reverse unnecessarily.
Many thanks!

I remember seeing a post list this before somewhere and they had no luck. Best they could do was return van to Liverpool.

Pay someone to help you shift the stuff and bring the van back instead?

Google van hirers in Belfast and you might get lucky with a difficult empty return for them.

Can you get some courier/haulage company to do the trip for you?

Put a request on Anyvan for a courier, then wait for the offers to come in and get cheaper nearer the date you want the stuff moved by.

Good idea! Hadn't heard of that - was really easy to use. Let's see if it works!

I moved my sister in law over from Reading to NI. The trouble with doing a hire picking the vehicle up one place and leaving it off another, is that they usually cover the cost of getting it back again. For NI, they do it too, which will include the price of the ferry! I ended up hiring a van here, driving to Dublin, ferry to Holyhead then drive down, and back! You can avoid the return journey but it'll cost!

I think my option of getting someone to bring it back seems a better idea.

Only 1 trip each way and not silly charges from the hire company.
