Used Car, lease or loan/credit cards?
Hi, can anyone help. We've got 2 used cars in our house that have been costing a lot more than they're worth to keep on the road. We need to get rid of at least one and replace with a decent fuel efficient family car. Any suggestions?
I'm trying to figure out if we're better off trying getting a car on finance through a garage, a lease hire car or get the money together through credit cards to get a car that's relatively new?
Any advice would be very much appreciated!!
Cheers

Depends what you have and your budget? All cars cost money. Even new ones cost money.
Services are similar prices whether its 1 year old or 10 years old. People just thing why am i paying £200 to service a £600 car. But the car will be cheaper to run and cost less to fix than a newer car.
How much can you save in 3 to 6 months, Honestly?
In 2009 i bought a 2004 Mondeo diesel estate for just over £2000 and its been great. I had a petrol one before and besides tyres and brakes it needed nothing.
This car has cost me £600 in 3 years. Servicing and tweaks etc. More power
Why pay more?
I bought a little Rover Metro diesel some years back £600 from a garage with 12 months MOT and long tax. It used so little fuel i thought it ran on fresh air.
Or maybe it was because the RangeRover i had before drank it like a fish
Dont spent what you cannot afford. Its only shiny and new for a short time. Then its just a financial burden.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
