Hi Guys
Im new here and i didnt know where exactly to post this? sorry if im in the wrong place
I run a small business and we desperatly need some central heating, preferably with a combi boiler and radiators (were surviving with the small electric heaters that gobble electric).
Does anyone know of any grants/assistance for putting in heating? I rent the shop but its frezzzzzzing... any help would be great and i dont really want to ask the landlord...
thanks

You'll still need to ask the landlord if you want to pay for having a boiler and radiators installed, as I'm assume your agreement includes clauses about such modifications, so you might as well start the ball rolling now.
Don't worry though - spring is around the corner!0 -
i certainly wouldn't be paying out to install heating to someone elses office, there is loads of empty office space it would just be cheaper to move somewhere that already has heatingI'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.0 -
Thanks for your replies ...
Moving isnt an option as its not an office... ill broach the subject with the landlord too, but if i can get funding it obviously saves cash in the long run... just being frugal0 -
Not certain if there is a 'low carbon' deal loan or similar for business.
Most commercial tenants I attend have a full maintenance and repair clause set in the lease so they are responsible for all maintenance.0 -
thanks gas4you...
Ive been looking into the 'cleaner' energy deals but theyre aimed at medium to large business, nothing for small businesses for some reason and in total there are five of us here. I cant recall anything in the tenancy but i would assume that it was down to me. The rent in this place is ideal and i dont really want to put the landlord under pressure to install heating and then bump my rent up, making it less afordable when its the quieter times. :undecided0
