The Swan is a 5 min walk away from Beaches & Cream and we had the 'pleasure' of watching several attempts. Good fun though.
I second Karen's post on Universal Citywalk Restaurants- far better than Disney. I did quite like Lombard's Landing in Universal too, but haven't been for a couple of years.
I do get the wanting to just give it a whirl in Disney though, they are so good at theming. I guess my favourite if pressed would be San Angel in Mexico purely on atmosphere, if a bit dark for eating.

Fun and silly? I agree with Karen- 50's Prime Time Diner at Hollywood Studios. Brace yourself for some ribbing!
LOL Jeannie :rotfl: I might possibly have understated the size of that monstrosity  :rotfl:0 -
Hi,
We went to the Italian, Mexican, Chinese and American all but the American were fantastic, they try really hard to make you feel like you are having a authentic experience. Also Down Town Disney i would recommend the Irish bar, Bongos and Rain forest cafe oh and Planet Hollywood. When we go back this year i want to experience the rest.
Have Fun

Hi we have eaten at the sci fi diner last year and it was fun, you sit in the car and there is a large movie scren, but as someone has mentioned it is dark in there, can't really see what your eating. Saying that we did enjoy it, but would not rush back this time we go.
Downtown Disney is a nice area to go and eat, try House of Blues that is great, and if you go on Restaurant.Com at the moment you can purchase a $50 voucher for $20 and type in voucher code LOVE and you can get it for $8, this ends soon though.Has anybody been in the themed restaurants in Disney / Epcot?
I have my eye on the Sci fi Dine in theater and the Be our guest restaurant but was wondering if they're any good? It's just for me and my husband - no kids. Am just looking for places fun to eat that won't break the bank and have tasty food (am not expecting Michelin star quality though!!)
If anyone has any recommendations (or places to avoid) I'd love to hear them!

Be My Guest is counter service for lunch so not as expensive as having dinner there. Its not that we have more patience as we grow older, its just that we're too tired to care about all the pointless drama0
