                    Hi all,
I am currently renting a property with an incredibly draughty front door. You can actually see daylight at the top and around the letter box
However, my landlord would be incredibly unhappy if I were to do anything to the door/house that would involve screws in walls or doors.
What non-invasive methods can I employ to stop the freezing draughts please?!
Thanks all

I have a quilted door curtain (off ebay) on a tension rod that fits inside the door frame, looks cosy and easy to put away in the warmer weather

I agree with tommyk use a tension rod to put up a curtain or even a blanket over the door would the LL object if you applied foam draught excluder round the doorframe0

Ask your landlord to fit a new door which actually fits! It's the least he can do.0 -
Triple curtain thickness ( several curtains) sausage at bottom. Foam round the edges (it's removable when you leave just in case landlord is bothered). My door is the same and leads directly onto living room. Also drafty catflap. Really noticeable difference with curtains closed.0

what about velcro-ing a fleece blanket inside? You can get velcro sellotape so you could do the entire frame and then peel it off when you leave. I would also have a word with the landlord.0

You can get some draught excluders that slide on to a door from the edge, might be worth a try0

Another vote for the tension rod and a curtain, I have one at my front door I think the rod was about 3.00 from Wilkinsons an the curtain an old fleece blanket that I cant remember where I got, its at least 20 years old, but you can get cheap curtain or blanket from a carboot or CS.Slimming World at target0

            Hi all,
Thank you very much for all your suggestions. I think I will go and look for a tension rod and put a light blanket/curtain on it. I will also look for the slide-on draught excluders.
I would be terrified that any adhesive/foam would take the paint off (it looks pretty old and flaky!)
The LL def should look at a better door but I think he would feel that it ruined the rustic cottage aesthetic that he was aiming for
Obviously did not realise this when I lookled at the house
 we live and learn!
Many thanks again
