    I've been Money Tipped!
Out of all my orders i only been asked twice, once in asda i had my order number but no card as i lost it, the 12 year old(well he was young) sales assistant was not happy so i showed my driving licence with my photo name and address, he still didnt want to go give me the £5 t shirt i ordered, i got it in the end after saying i was going to phone head office, i was not happy i felt like i was trying to steal my own item. i think it all comes down to the sales assistant

The emails usually state bring ID and your payment card when collecting items. I don't think the store can see how the items were paid for unless they open the parcel and look at the invoice which they never do when I collect items so the payment card doesn't seem like a good idea. It is only Boots that open the parcel to check the contents but even they don't ask for ID or payment card, just a signature.

Every store is pretty much not consistent with what they ask when you get your order. M&S are the best by asking for name and email address pretty much every time. Other's it's just pot luck what you are going to be asked.

I never got an email or text to say my item was instore. It was due in 5pm on 6th, it wasn't despatched til the 7th and still said in the emails it was due 6th! Turned up instore on 8th =/ Usually i haven't had a problem with instore collection, but the service this time was poor.

I had the same problem, so ended up being over a week late to collect my order. Had a similar problem near xmas too but every other time has been fine

Haha, i've literally just got an email and text to say my order is ready for collection! Bit late seeing as i picked it up almost 24hrs ago!

Luckily i checked my email and tracked my package which said it was instore. I think that's the best thing for anyone unsure. Maybe they're something up with their system atm? Hope others don't have any problems :)

I always have my order number with me when collecting my items but have noticed in ASDA, Boots and Wilko's they say they don't go by the order number but by the surname. So if someones surname is Smith (one of the most popular ones) then you could be handed someone elses parcel as they don't do proper checks. Thankfully I haven't had a problem when collecting my items but I can imagine there will be a fair few that have gone missing if they are just asking for surnames.
