Breaching these conditions can result in the landlord not being covered by insurance if something happens so not to be taken lightly.
Chances are you are already in breach of your lease over this, so provoking the landlady over you also failing to leave the heating on is probably not wise.
such clauses are a breach of you rights to quiet enjoyment.
If the tenant wishes to take the risk of a big bill if the pipes burst because he let them freeze, that is his lookout
