Warm Homes Discount & Moving home.

Good day to everyone! First time poster so go easy on me please!

I have been told by Scottish Power that I we are eligible for the £130 WHD payment which will be paid to our prepayment key before the end of March. They say the payment will be put onto my key when I top up it up and then insert it into the meter (we use the home vend gizmo - beats trekking down the shops lol)

All good so far right? Well, we just have been offered another house in the next town which looks as if we will accept and the move will go ahead probably at the end of February.

Anyone know what will happen to the WHD payment if it will be put onto my account at the new house (unsure if it has PPM or not)? Looking on the Scottish Power website doesn't reveal any obvious ( to me anyway lol). All it seems to say is we must remain a customer with them for payment to be made o the Key if that makes sense.

Thanks in advance!

One of the conditions for the Broader group is you must have a live account with the supplier when they apply the payment. It may be that if you move into a property already supplied by Scottish power before the payment is applied you will be okay. A problem may arise if the property is supplied with another supplier as it can take 4-6 weeks to change supplier.

If it is applied before you leave the property make sure you let Scottish Power know a few days before you leave how much credit you have on your meter as you will not want to leave it for the next occupiers use.
