NPower won't give me a final bill

I changed provider for gas and electricity on 3 Dec 12, from NPower to Scottish Gas.
I have provided final meter readings as of 3 Dec to both companies.
Despite repeated phone calls to NPower they have not provided a final bill.
They owe me money (between £80 - £100).
Where do I go from here?

What is the reason they have given you for not being able to produce a bill?
Have they suggested when they will be in a position to create a final bill for you?
They have up to a year to provide a final bill, but if you want to hurry them along, make a formal complaint and they will have 2 months before you can take it to the ombudsman who will take at least another month.
So 3 months from today would be the earliest you could hope to force nPower to supply you a final bill ... although they may well do so quicker if you leave it.0 -
No reason given, just apologies and empty promises.
Each time I phone they tell me that the bill will be produced straight away.
I rather think that if I owed THEM money things would have been a bit speedier.
So they can keep my money for a year then? Where does it say this?0 -

If they say they will generate the bill straight away, tell them you will hang on whilst it is generated
But sounds like you have justifiable cause to complain if they have already promised you a date and missed it.
In the past, I found I got much better support when complaining in writing to nPower than from the phone jockeys they [STRIKE]employ[/STRIKE] use - I'm not even sure they actually work for nPower; they definitely work strictly to script.0
