Which gas log/coal effect stove is best?
I'm looking for a gas log/coal effect stove.
I initially was looking at getting a log burning stove but after careful consideration I think gas will suit me better.
There's lots of advice/reviews on log burners but I haven't found any for gas.
I was wondering if anyone can help?

Just wondered if you found one in the end as this is what I am also looking for. Had my heart set on an ivory one but typically I have picked out the most expensive version (and we're starting from scratch as part of a redecoration so have to widen the chimney breast etc) and can't really find much else to fit the bill.0

I've still not taken the plunge.
I think the only ivory one I've seen was made by Clearview which, as you say, is one of the most expensive makes.
I want to see some gas stoves "in action" to see how realistic they look, but my problem has been finding a showroom with working gas stoves. My sister had an Esse fitted earlier this year, it does look quite realistic so I think I'll be having the same when I eventually get it done.0
