DIVAPOR.COM - any experience with this company?

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen. As some of you may know, from my other posts, I'm renovating my bathroom at the moment. I still haven't had the guts to start plastering the bathroom because of all the fear which was installed in me from responses to my other thread!

In the mean time, while I muster courage, I'm planning the rest of the bathroom, including tiles and suite (shower, toilet and sink). I currently have a steam shower in the bathroom which I'd like replacing directly, it's a 900mm x 900mm shower. I think the Di Vapor Savona steam shower is what I'm looking at. Has anybody had experience with Di Vapor?

Thanks

i've just read your other post. Not sure if anyone else has mentioned this but if you are fully tiling a wall, dont skim it. Plasterboard is a much better base for tiling onto.
save yourself the time and cost.

Thanks. I won't be tiling the walls; I will just be painting them. I will be tiling the floor though.

I have a small little toilet room that nobody really uses which needs a wall plastering. I might practice on that bathroom this weekend: We'll see how I'm feeling :p

Still wondering about this steam room though. On the plus side, if I get one I won't have to tile the wall as it's an enclosed cabin.

I got one of the Di Vapor steam showers in the end - the Savona unit there on the site. I've had it a couple of weeks so far. The installation of the tray was a bit tricky as it was a flat stone tray, so I had to build a wooden plinth to rest it on. Apart from that, it's all been good.

I plastered that wall in the end and did a really good job. I made a school boy error though on the first wall as I left the radiator on in the bathroom, which caused the wet plaster at the top of the wall near the ceiling to crack. Gutted! :p You live and learn no!? :D

Hiya, I've had it for a while now. The install went smoothly in the bathroom. I actually built the cabin up by myself as it comes in panels. The different parts were already installed on the steam shower (jets, control panel, shower rail etc etc) so there wan't anything that needed fixing on that required any special expertise. The panels slotted together very easily.

I did need help from my brother in placing the glass into the tray as they're quite heavy and I didn't want to be clumsy and damage anything. I had to get a plumber/electrician man to do the rest but only needed him for a half day rate as I had the unit constructed. :)

I'm very happy with the shower. It looks the part and gives a good showering and steam (in other words, a spa) experience. Ooo, I also have aromatherapy which I use with it. I have some of Di Vapor's aromatherapy which are nice and I have my own fruity ones. I have orange, peppermint, pine forest and teatree. I couldn't recommend the peppermint aromatherapy in conjunction with the steam enough. If you want that feeling of invigoration and being alive, this is the combo you want as it makes your entire body feel... alive!?

They do a 10% deposit system which I used which is refundable, but it meant I could plan my project while they hold the unit I wanted (without forking out for it before I needed delivery). You might finder their steam showers buyers guide useful (That's a link there to it).

What kind of tips are you looking for? I am full of tips! :)
