Sat Nav wrong location

I would like to know if anybody could help me. Everybody that delivers or comes to my house ends up a mile out of the village, because they all use sat navs. Can anyone tell me how to correct this location problem. It was the same on google maps, but I managed to correct this.

Thanks Masher154

Guessing you live somewhere rural? My folks have the same thing because their postcode covers a mile down the road. Your best bet is putting some delivery instructions in for the courier, even if it's just making the first line of your address "white bungalow opposite the phonebox" or whatever.
Yes it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?

Or give them your GPS coordinates (lat and long) in the delivery instructions.

It's a slightly different issue here.

One of the roads in the village is blocked off with bollards about 20 yards from the main road. This job was done approximately 20 years ago.
  • My street is not named on a lot of maps and sat navs. The road is there but it has no name with it.

Not so bad with delivery drivers these days, its mostly tradesmen that end up ringing up asking where I am.

Wouldn't have thought that people delivering to your house is your problem personally. As long as you have supplied the correct information to whoever, then it's up to them to find you.
That's my mutt in the picture above.
