I bought a Maltese puppy in November from a breeder paid a extra £100 to get her kennel club registered and I have still not received the papers from the breeder every time I text her to find out what is happening she comes up with a different story why the papers have not arrived yet.
Were do I stand and what shall I do next any one help please ?

Trading Standards might be the route to go down - pets are property in the eyes of the law so imagine you were sold a laptop with the promise of some software being sent on to you and you never received it0

You should have puppies KC number complete with KC form for transfer of ownership.(we were given ours on the day we picked puppy up) Then you send off the form to KC with a cheque (always wanting cash) and they transfer the ownership of puppy from breeder to yourself.
To be honest i havnt bothered doing this, but I do know the breeder, (she grooms my puppy and will do forever) Also once Olie is neutered the KC paperwork will be near on worthless anyway.
Have just checked and its £39 for the top set of papers so at £100 you have been conned in any case. I would ring KC up and ask about your breeder. (we have a breeder number, as should you)
I think your breeder is trying it on, your puppy should already be registered in her name. Sounds a bit iffy to me.

All we got was was a vet card she told us that the kennel club would not except the name for the pups and she had to resubmit again with new names next time we got in touch she said it was a delay because of Xmas and new year then the last time she says kennel club had sent the documents but they never got delivered and were sent back to kennel club as undelivered .. She has now not answered our last text we have sent .... I don't have her breeder number just her phone number and addressSealed Pot Challenge5 1707 £289.00/£4000

As long as you have her name you can ring the KC, just explain to them and they will check her name and address. I would be knocking on her door. Can you give us a clue where you are? If near enough I would be willing to go with you xRIP TJ. You my be gone, but never forgotten. I am near Glasgow and the breeder I bought the pup is about 20 miles from there I bought the pup from the daughter who stays with and helps run the the kennels with her mum, the kennels are in the mothers name but the daughter has her own Maltese which stays in the house and the mother keeps all her dogs in kennels they have a big operation of breading dogs.Sealed Pot Challenge5 1707 £289.00/£4000

Surely this would have set alarm bells ringing?
If the breeder hasn't registered the pups then there isn't much you can do except complain to Trading Standards etc. It only costs a breeder £15 to register a pup with the KC so you've been duped either way.0 -
Sounds to me like a puppy farm i'm afraid, in which case the papers are the least of your worries. I'd make sure s/he is insured asap too. I hope i'm wrong but something doesn't add up, to start with using kennels is a big problem0

Too late for you now, but you should NEVER have to pay extra for Kennel Club registration:(0 -
Sounds like a puppy farm, get in touch with Puppy Love http://www.puppylovecampaigns.org/, they will be able to tell you if it is a puppy farm.0

They have a big operation of breeding dogs and you decided they were fit to buy a puppy from ???
okay that's not going to help your question though. If one of her puppies (yours) were going to be KC reg then I beleive the full litter has to be ? ( someone may correct me on that).
Did you see the mothers KC papers ?
When we went to visit Logan at 6 weeks we seen his mums papers, his weren't yet in, at 8 weeks they were though but registered to the breeders, we filled in the transfer of ownership and sent that off ( think its about £15) then received our own papers in two days time.0
