She's very keen on using containers to hold stuff in - it might be an idea for your kitchen cupboards.

    yes, I'm into containers too.
I need to find some for the fridge freezer as the freezer part only has 2 drawers and then 4 shelves-so it's a balancing act!

    Oops to 3 books!

yes, I wanted free delivery and had seen another book I wanted, then I saw another book and it appealed to me too. :o
We had pulled pork and jacket spuds the other day, it was yummy!

we ended up having pork and apple sauce in baps-couldn't be bothered to slave over a hot stove in this gorgeous weather
not doing much today-due to injury! I fell last night and I'm now temporarily incapacitated! :(

    Overcast, cloudy day today.
    Lots to do-as usual.
DD1 and I trawled round @sd@ last night-she's on another health kick-it shouldn't be a health kick, we should all eat more healthily (as a household), we just keep slipping back. :o
    No financials to report today.
Right, off to pack some sales.

Started reading 'the book' yesterday. I've already read over half of it. I'm going to read the rest this afternoon.
I'm already so motivated to sort my clutter out once and for all.
The only stumbling block I can see up to now are things like bank statements etc. I'm already drowning in bank statements mot certificates and other car docs, old uni work, greetings cards. I have a card from my grandma that I have kept so long...she died over 30 years ago....

You can leave paperwork until almost last if you like. And hardest of all are sentimental items, so leave those until very last, when you are stronger. And if the card from your grandma brings you joy and happy memories, keep it. The aim isn't to chuck everything away but to have only stuff that you love :).

You have inspired me to re-read my Marie Kondo book now :D.

Thanks p&c. I'll concentrate on all my other [STRIKE]crap[/STRIKE] treasures first. Lol

Hope your injury is better now tattycath!

Good luck with the decluttering. Definitely do the easy stuff first. If something is very sentimental, keep it! You can always review again if you want to.

I got rid of my uni notes, never going to look at them again. I have kept the course books for now though. They will maybe go in the future but not yet.

I'm still in pain but coping thanks jwil. Decluttering on hold until next week, so busy! So much to do and so little time! :)
    Uni notes are going-decided! :)

I kept loads of notes and course books up in the attic for God Knows how many years. I kept saying 'I might want to refer to those one day'. One day some years ago I slung the whole lot into the 'paper and cardboard' recycling skip at the local tip.

I can honestly say I never gave them another thought since :D.

Like most of the world, these days if I need to find something out, I use Tinternet.

We all need to be firmer about the 'just in case' junk we keep - without exception I've never regretted any of the stuff I've thrown away. If I ever think about the stuff at all, it's with gratitude that it's no longer cluttering up the place.

Now, if I could only get OH to throw out his mountain of junk, we'd be getting somewhere ...... but I must set a better example myself first :o.

Well done on getting rid of the notes - like P&F says, I've never missed mine.
