Accepted CC help

Hi, I have made a big mistake and wondered if anyone could point me In the right direction.

Before Christmas I applied on line for a Credit Card which was immediately accepted. My intentions was to balance transfer my other credit card to the 0% on the new card when my present 0% ends anytime about now.

My problem is that I have forgot who I made the application with and have received no paperwork/card/pin and have, by mistake, deleted the confirmation email and from my trash....... So can anyone help me as to how I can find out who I made the application with?

Really feel daft as it is such a stupid situation to find myself in but had to ask.

Thanks in advance of any serious/helpful replies.

  • Are you sure you were accepted? It may have just been a provisional acceptance...

The credit search will be on your credit report and will include the name of the creditor.

You could get a credit report (either the statutory £2 one or try Noddle). It might be too early, but a credit search might already be on there, if not the actual credit account.

Can you view your page history on your Internet browser? Assuming you haven't deleted your history of course.

Or, as others have said, a credit reference agency report with Experian or Equifax should help - Experian would be better as the majority of lenders use them - few use Equifax (Barclaycard sometimes, Creation Finance and Metro Bank spring to mind).
Never argue with an idiot. Especially not this idiot because I'm always right anyway.

It may not have been reported to CallCredit (noddle). More likely reported to Experian and/or Equifax, but you may need access to all three...

  • Thank you all so much for your helpful replies....... I have found the information from Noddle so can now ring up Halifax and hopefully get a/another card sent out ASAP.

    Thanks again
