I know there are threads on which printer to get but I feel this requires it's own.My mum copies approx 30-50 sheets of stuff each week for the several groups she is involved in,doesn't have a computer so it is primarily to save her going to the local newsagents for 5p or 10p a copy. Are there any cheap to buy/run copiers?
Life is like a bath, the longer you are in it the more wrinkly you become.

some printers can be used as copiers.
However the amount of pages a printer can print is determined by text, and the ink used to print a full page of text is said to constitute 5% of the printed page area, so if copying pictures expect the consumption of ink/toner to significantly go up.
Last time I looked it cost approx £1 to produce a colour photo at home. Commercial lasers and photo copiers can be far more cost effective for small runs.0
